Tackling Obstacles and Raising College Hopes (TORCH) is a program available at both Northfield Middle School and Northfield High School. The mission of the Middle School TORCH Program is to support students in their academic success in preparation for high school and to create opportunities and foster connections with their school and community. The Middle School TORCH program has a strong partnership with the Middle School Youth Center, which provides quality after school programming. This program runs Mondays through Thursdays from 3:00-5:00 pm throughout much of the school year.
- One on one tutoring matches during the school day
- After school homework help provided through a partnership with the MIddle School Youth Center
- Bi-monthly checks are provided for students to review grades and missing assignments
After School Programming
A variety of offerings are provided after school, including interest areas such as sewing, cooking, book clubs, robotics, service learning, arts and crafts, recreational opportunities, career exploration, friendship groups and much more.
